Myranda is a Law Clerk with Anene Farrey & Associates, LLC. Myranda’s career in the legal field began over 12 years ago serving as a scholar with the Summer Work Experience in Law (SWEL) program, which is a prestigious law program based out of Cincinnati, Ohio that provides valuable exposure to the legal field through legal internships. Her experience with the SWEL program is what catapulted her dreams of going to law school.
Myranda graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Capital University and earned her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. While in law school, Myranda completed a Judicial Clerkship with the Fulton County Juvenile Court where she quickly learned—among other things—the nexus between mental illness and delinquent behavior. Myranda has a passion for the area of family law and juvenile law, particularly advocating for those who are generally at a disadvantage, such as children and fathers.
Following law school, Myranda relocated to the metro Atlanta area and began volunteering with the Cobb County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). As a CASA, Myranda serves as the voice for abused and neglected children. She loves building a rapport with the children she serves, speaking to relatives, foster families, and the Department of Family and Children services to ensure the best interest of the child is met. Subsequently, Myranda landed a law clerk position for a busy law firm in McDonough, GA handling matters from uncontested divorces, legitimation, and grandparent visitation to personal injury.
As a law clerk at Anene Farrey & Associates, LLC, Myranda handles clients’ cases from beginning to end, including drafting legal documents; issuing subpoenas; preparing court orders and child support worksheets; drafting settlement agreements and parenting plans; and assisting attorneys in preparing clients for mediations; depositions; court appearances and trial.
Myranda is currently studying to take the Georgia Bar Exam to become a licensed Attorney with Anene Farrey & Associates, LLC where she can advocate for clients in the courtroom.
Those who know Myranda well would describe her as a go-getter and a very caring person. Outside of work she enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring new attractions with family and friends.
